Devotee Review
"The process was clear from booking to prasad delivery. The sankalpam felt personal and the temple team handled everything respectfully."
— Anand V., Bengaluru
Annadhanam is a sacred act of charity in Hindu tradition, involving the donation of food to those in need. Derived from Sanskrit , where 'anna' means food and 'dhanam' means donation, this practice is considered highly meritorious.
Significance of donating food during Navratri:
Feeding the hungry during Navratri honors Shakti, the divine mother who nurtures all. You serve the divine by feeding the hungry, fostering compassion and spiritual growth for the giver while providing nourishment to the receiver.
It's believed that acts of kindness during Navratri multiply in their spiritual benefits and invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga
How we do it?
We work with 6 different homeless shelters in Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
We primarily support food donation to homeless and mentally challenged children below the age of 16.
We arrange lunch (and other food) services for the homeless children in the designated care centers.
How do you know how your donation was used?
We send you a short video clip where possible of the kids thanking your donation and then starting their lunch.
This item does not have any prasadham to be shipped to you, so the shipping cost will be zero.
